Chris Visioli

Chris Visioli joined Population Health Partners, L.P, a life sciences investment firm, as a partner in 2020.

Since November 2024, Chris has served as Chief Financial Officer of Metsera, Inc., a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing best-in-class, next-generation therapeutics to treat overweight and obesity founded by PHP and ARCH Ventures. Before becoming CFO, Chris was Metsera’s Chief Business Officer, focusing on financial strategy including building the business development and planning functions.

Prior to joining Population Health Partners, Chris was the Chief Financial Officer at The Medicines Company, where he was responsible for leading financial strategy and information technology and served on the executive leadership team. During his time as CFO, Chris raised over $300 million in outside capital and co-managed the global business development process which resulted in the sale of the company to Novartis for $9.7 billion in January of 2020. During his tenure at The Medicines Company, Chris held leadership roles in business development, strategic planning, product launch preparation, analytics, and finance.

Prior to his time at The Medicines Company, Chris was a Management Consultant at Ernst & Young where he focused on customized system development and assisting start-up technology businesses to design, develop, and scale back office and technology capabilities.

Chris has a MBA with Honors, from Columbia Business School and a BS in electrical engineering, cum laude, from Cornell University.
